What is it With Me and Trying to Save Canceled TV Shows?

I can't muster the same amount of energy and time to save Jericho that I did while trying to save Star Trek: Enterprise, but I can post other's attempts to save this great CBS show. And, to prove at least a basic dedication to the cause, I did manage to send a letter to the network:

Leslie Moonves
CBS Television Network
51 West 52nd Street
New York, NY 10019

Dear Mr. Moonves:

I am writing on behalf of the "Save Jericho" campaign, and respectfully ask that you reconsider your decision to cancel the series.

Jericho is a unique shining star among the usual dark and empty content that permeates the airwaves today. It provides positive role models, explores the depths and complexities of family relationships in meaningful ways, and provides a sense of hope that is so desperately lacking in American society.

When considering this letter, please remember that Jericho was doing well in the ratings until CBS decided to put the show on an unpredictable schedule that included a very long hiatus. The ratings clearly show that as a result of that decision, the show faltered from its peak, but still retained a steady audience.

Given the fact that many other shows continue with even lower ratings, we believe Jericho should be given another opportunity to regain its past market share. With a second chance and a solid schedule, the show will succeed based on its inherent qualities.

Thank you for considering my letter.

Sincerely,

Dan

Go NUTS! for Jericho.
